When in Tuscany, portrait shoots at sunset in olive groves are highly recommended.
We scrambled this shoot together at the last second. We had passed a gorgeous olive grove up the road earlier that I knew I wanted to use for a photoshoot. It suddenly occurred to me that the sun was going down, we had the next couple of days packed full of plans, and after that there was rain on the forecast. So if my sunset photo op was going to happen, it would have to be right that second. :-) I woke Tara up from her nap and we ran down the road to catch the last bit of sun filtering through those perfect trees.
I'm putting olive trees on my birthday list this year.

Caleb & Cassie | Maternity
Another catch-up post today! Caleb and Cassie have since welcomed this adorable little guy into their family, but we took some maternity photos in November that I didn't get around to posting till now. They were troopers with the chilly weather, and Cassie is officially the spunkiest pregnant lady I think I've ever met. Let's just say climbing fences may have been involved, despite my protestations... It was her idea, I promise! :-)
They had me laughing through the whole shoot. :-)

Jaime | Senior Portraits
Catching up on a few sessions that never got blogged from late last year - Jaime was my last senior of the year and I so enjoyed shooting her photos at a beautiful local seminary campus. Looking back at the pretty fall colors makes me ready for the the current landscape outside my window to brighten up!

Hannah | Senior Portraits
I adore the way the light changes in the fall. It's like the air gets jealous of the tint the leaves are adopting and it turns warm and golden all day long. But especially right before sunset...
The wind was in full force for Hannah's senior session, but we managed to catch it in between gusts or use it to our advantage.
