Just for fun and practice

My friend Wendy and I went out to Woodstock for a fun mini shoot/practice session... She has never shot on the square before, even though we go there often enough! She got to borrow my sister to model, and I amused myself with this little gal. Adorable and very cooperative!

Sometimes it's nice to just take a little time to practice and get creative, with absolutely no stress, no time limits, no pressure. Plus it helps to have absolutely delicious light! :-)

Attention! Model Call!

Some excitement is ahead (I'm excited, anyway) and you just might get to be a part of it!

Models Needed: for a styled wedding shoot in Harvard, IL.

• Edwardian-inspired shoot in an apple orchard.

• Needed: A bride & groom (married couple would be ideal!), 1 bridesmaid & 1 groomsman.

• Must be available for several hours afternoon/evening August 13, 2013

• Compensation: You get to be a “star” for the day & will receive a photo CD with high-res images from the shoot. Gals will also get their hair and makeup done professionally for the shoot.

Ashton & Jennifer | Engagement

When Jennifer's dad sat her down and told her that Ashton wanted to court her, she was totally surprised. She had no clue he was interested and it was completely out of the blue. Her first thought was, "This will never work." But we all know our God is the God of the impossible, right? :-) It didn't take very long before they both knew this was it. Ashton popped the question in early spring and a couple weekends ago they came up for their engagement photos.

The day was perfect - it may have been a tad warm but the light was gorgeous and so was the scenery. We tried out a new location for me - a local river walk, which afforded a nice variety of picturesque spots. I'm so excited to share these with you and looking forward to their wedding in September!

Lydia Margaret | Newborn

Very few things make me as happy as holding a newborn baby. They are so tiny and warm and squishy. I almost wish they would never grow up at all (though in that case the world would be a sad place).

So you can imagine I had a lovely morning with this little doll. She's a born model. Awake part of the time, asleep part of the time, and only cried twice I think. I should hire her to teach all newborns how to behave for photo shoots. And by the way - is her name not the darlingest name you ever heard? Enjoy the sweetness!
