Alden Hills Farm

I am not a farm girl by any stretch of the imagination. I did have a short phase when I was around 10 years old when I thought I wanted to be... and quickly outgrew that. ;-)

But for some reason I got really excited to do a shoot involving chickens and cows. *shrugs*

I may not want any of my own, but spending an hour or so in their company isn't so bad, especially when you throw in two beautiful people (whose wedding I shot last year and is an all time favorite!!), and some lovely cloud cover followed by dreamy sunset glow. SIGN ME UP.

Scott & Jaclyn | Maternity

This has been a year of babies. We counted up the number of women we knew who were pregnant during 2016 and I think we got up to around 37. O.o That's a lot of kids.

It's so much fun, though, watching your friends marry and then become parents. What's also fun is taking pictures of each new stage in their lives, from engagement, to wedding, to kids. Jaclyn no longer lives in the area since she married Scott, but I'm so glad the timing worked out that she was up here for a baby shower and we fit in some photos!
