The White Dress Shoot

Two days after the Woodstock Square shoot, Tara and I decided to go back to the bridge and get a few more shots of her in her white dress that she made. We forgot that we didn't get any just plain dress photos for her blog, and then we drove around a little bit beyond the bridge and found a lovely field where we got some more photos... that I love. Since the Woodstock outing I am so inspired... I am ready to rope all my friends into modeling for photoshoots. Anyone need portraits??? :-)

  1. Lovely, Kathryn! Just love the contrast between her dress and the grass in the field! I think my favorites are #3 and #4. Hope you come up with some new "subjects" willing to get in front of the camera... as a sister of nine other siblings, I have plenty of modeling happily provided =), but even so I know it's always nice to work with someone new. ;-)

  2. Beautiful work, Kathryn!!

Couple questions for you...I saw you said you were a Canon girl. Which Canon do you have? And what are you editing in?

I would model for you if I could...I would probably learn so much!!! But I don't think I live anywhere near you. Arizona is not that green :)

    Keep up the gorgeous shots!

    1. I have a Canon Rebel XTi... I am hoping to upgrade in the not too distant future, probably to a Canon 60D. I edit in Lightroom which I LOVE! Before I had LR (prior to December) I used Photoshop Elements and I still really like that and use it.

Yeah, I don't think you'd want to come all the way to Illinois just to smile for my camera. :-) Ah well - it's the thought that counts!

    2. Cool! I have a Canon EOS Rebel T2i, and am also trying to upgrade. I haven't decided yet if I just want to go to a 50D or go all the way to a 5D. $$ is the limiting factor :)

I also have Lightroom and love it! Do you have 3 or 4?

    3. I know, I had that thought too... that if I'm going to spend the money, maybe I should get a 7D or 5D... but those prices are a *little* scary. :-)
      I have Lightroom 3!

    4. Little scary is right!! I had a guy tell me that there really wasn't that much difference between a 7D and a 5D. He owns a 5D and said that he kind of wished he had bought a 7D because they are just about as good and quite a bit cheaper. Interesting....

  3. My favorite's gotta be the last one. Because she looks like a movie star. B)

    1. A Hollywood movie star or a BBC movie star? Because you see that makes all the difference between an insult and a compliment. *winks*
